Aside from my internship work, I’ve been doing assignments for school, for one of which I am doing a media analysis essay. I was given the choice to pick my media, so I (naturally) went with a graphic novel. My option was Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis which I had originally read for high school and her story has always stuck with me. She has such a unique art style to accompany her story, she is able to tell such a unique and dramatic story without using mass quantities of detail.
Media analysis essays require the writer to analyze a piece of media. This can be an advertisement, a song, a movie, a game or just about anything else.
